By filling out this form, you are being put on a waitlist to be invited to the virtual program. Invites will be sent out to respondents to this survey. This is a limited capacity program that we expect to begin in October. We will prioritize schools that have 2 classrooms that wish to participate during the same lesson time slots. We will also prioritize 4th grade classrooms, as dolphin communication more directly aligns with NGSS and Amplify Science for that grade. Once we run out of space in the virtual program, we will contact anyone else on the waitlist informing them.
If you are invited to the program, you and your class will receive the following and agree to facilitate the two fully supported teacher-led lessons with your students:
- Interactive digital notebook for each student
- Teacher lesson plan including a guide for initial Shedd virtual connection, lesson plan for teacher-facilitated sound wave activity, guide for Shedd virtual field trip, and lesson plan for a teacher-facilitated extension activity
- Two live virtual connections with Shedd Aquarium – one 30-min and one 50-min
- Materials for two teacher-facilitated lessons: Sound wave lesson and Great Lakes conservation extension lesson
- Free, self-guided field trip to Shedd Aquarium including reimbursable Bus Funding
